Harriet Foster-Thornton is a Lincolnshire born photographer with a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Photography, from the University of East London. Growing up on a farm in the countryside Harriet has a passion for involving nature and the outdoors in her photography aiming for an organic outcome in her work.
Harriet has a mixed media theme to her work, which involves hand stitching directly onto the surface of her photographs; this element enhances the story telling of her images and adds a hand crafted, personal finish.
When working on self-directed personal projects Harriet prefers to shoot on film. The perceptual nature of traditional processes brings Harriet and her subject closer to the realness of the subjects she photographs.
